Welcome to VeroMaps ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using VeroMaps across web, mobile, or PWA platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. ACCEPTANCE & ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use VeroMaps. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information provided is accurate and kept current.
2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION & DISCOVERY
VeroMaps provides interactive maps, curated hidden spots, architectural walks, thematic catalogues, group circles, navigation routes, and personal discovery tools. We strive to provide accurate community data and routing, but map data, access rights, business hours, and ground conditions may change over time.
3. ROAD SAFETY & NAVIGATION DISCLAIMER
Your safety is paramount. When using VeroMaps navigation, directions, and routes: - Always obey all applicable traffic laws, road signs, speed limits, and pedestrian signals. - Never operate your mobile device or interact with the screen while actively operating a vehicle, bicycle, or personal transport in a manner that creates distraction or danger. - Real-world road conditions, construction, weather, closures, and private property boundaries take precedence over any route suggestion provided by VeroMaps. - VeroMaps navigation and travel time estimates are provided for informational and convenience purposes only, without warranty of accuracy.
4. RESPECT FOR PROPERTY & COMMUNITY CONDUCT
VeroMaps encourages ethical discovery: - Do NOT trespass on private property. Respect fences, gates, residential courtyards, and posted "No Trespassing" or "Private" signs. - Keep noise levels down, particularly in residential courtyards, quiet alleys, and historic neighborhoods. - Respect resident privacy. Do not photograph private home interiors, residents without permission, or sensitive security installations. - Do not harass other members, post unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent content, or attempt to manipulate rankings, votes, or leaderboards.
5. USER ACCOUNTS & CONTENT
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities occurring under your account. - Content Ownership: You retain ownership of the photos, reviews, notes, and contributions you publish on VeroMaps. - License to VeroMaps: By posting content publicly or in public circles, you grant VeroMaps a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and adapt that content to operate and improve the service. - Photo Vault: Photos saved to your personal Photo Vault remain private to you until and unless you explicitly share an album or photo.
6. SUBSCRIPTIONS, MEMBERSHIPS & BILLING
- VeroMaps Plus and Founding Memberships grant enhanced capabilities (such as extended photo vaults, offline packs, custom pin badges, and detailed routes). - Plus is a recurring subscription, not a one-time payment. The monthly or yearly price shown before you pay is charged again at the end of each period until you cancel. - A 7-day free trial of Plus starts when you approve it in PayPal. Every Plus feature is on from the first day. Unless you cancel in PayPal before the trial ends, it renews at the monthly or yearly price you chose. One trial per account. - Cancel any time in PayPal, under Automatic payments (https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/). Plus stays on until the period you already paid for, or the trial, ends. - No refunds on digital goods or subscriptions, except where mandatory local law requires a refund. - A failed charge leaves Plus off. If PayPal confirms the same payment later, Plus turns on for that period and you are not charged again for it. - We do not store your card number. PayPal handles the payment. - Refunds: Subscriptions and digital purchases are non-refundable except where required by mandatory local consumer protection laws.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & ATTRIBUTIONS
- The VeroMaps platform, branding, logo, interface design, code, and curated editorial content are protected by copyright, trademark, and trade dress laws. - Map tiles, underlying geography, and route networks incorporate data from OpenStreetMap contributors, MapLibre, and open routing engines under their respective licenses. 8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
VeroMaps is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VeroMaps and its operators, affiliates, officers, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, personal injury, traffic citations, trespass penalties, or property damage resulting from your access to or use of the service.
10. TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harass community members, abuse automated systems, or engage in unlawful behavior, without prior notice.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms periodically. When changes occur, the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of VeroMaps following published updates signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.
