How places are labelled

Most places on VeroMaps were imported from Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap. They are listings, not community finds, and each one says so on its page (“Imported from Wikipedia” or “Imported from OpenStreetMap”). A place only counts as checked once an explorer has been there and taken a live photo or a sound reading. Places an explorer adds in the field are marked “Found on-site by an explorer”.

We don't show quiet scores, safety scores, ratings, visit counts or walking times that nobody measured. Where there is no real reading yet, the page shows nothing.
